Power Kunkle HR Solutions is assisting our client in a search for a professional individual for the position of Director, Human Resources.

The client is an regional industry leader with 130 employees.

Duties:

Responsibilities:

The role of Human Resources Director is responsible for managing and directing HR processes. The Director will specialize in areas of performance management, employee relations, training and coaching, and compliance of all federal and state employment laws, including The Affordable Care Act. As the Human Resources Director, you are expected to be the expert of the implementation, maintenance, and direction of all company policies and procedures. Equally important is your leadership ability to influence company culture and change through developing solid relationships with managers and employees.

 Specific Duties: 

  • Implements and deploys effective communication strategy

  • Oversees performance review and development process

  • Responsible for recruiting executive level positions

  • Oversees onboarding process

  • Oversees Payroll function
  • Champions efforts relating to maintaining and strengthening our culture

  • Provides strategic planning facilitation

  • Trains leaders on employment compliance issues and coaches leaders as issues arise

  • Designs compensation and benefits programs

  • Works closely with President to design organizational structure to meet business needs

Qualifications:

Specific Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development or equivalent and a minimum of 7 years progressive Human Resources management or Organizational Development, or equivalent experience and education

  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
  • Good understanding of systems thinking and change management principles

  • A proven track record of effective human resource practices with good results

  • Computer skills in use of excel and the ability to analyze data, Word, Outlook
